Please say this is a normal part of development *Pic Included*

it's normal veining , yes sometimes vein will circle the egg and may look like a blood ring , soooo it's best to just mark that egg with a pencil and check it in a week ,

what you see in your pic is the embryo, A bloodring will look like somebody took a red pencil or lipstick and drew a ring around the inside of the egg and there will maybe be a little black dot underneath it. You normally don't see all the spiderwebs of veins in an egg with a bloodring because it usually doesn't develop. Did that make sense? It's getting late LOL!

Congrats and good going. I was just saying wait until a further time to be able to tell for sure. Sorry if you got offended. I usually wait until the 6th, or 7th day to be sure about any egg. As for my duck eggs, I wait a little longer before checking since they take 28 days to hatch.

I like the whole ask for help and advice and get snotty with people when it isn't exactly what you want in the way of information. Real nice manners duckone.

countrybum don't you dare apologize for trying to help to someone who then gets snerty.

You tried to help, nothing to apologize for.

The duck person however owes you an apology for tone.

Walkswithdogs, I just figured it is best to be the bigger person. Apparently it is her first time incubating and she just does not know. I thought all I was doing was giving a suggestion to wait until a time it was easier to tell, but shame on me, I must just go by a stupid picture.

I see you have German Shepherds. I have an East German male and West German female. I have a pitbullX that was dumped and starving a few weeks ago, 8 horses, 4 ducks, 2 cats, 3 kittens, 2 red golden pheasants, 2 peahens (here in a week), 1 peacock (here in a week) and I guess a noraml amount of chickens (48 and counting, or should I say adding) and about 60 to hatch - okay, I have gave some away and I sell some, I also sell some eggs and I only keep the chicks that seem unique.

So what do you consider a NORMAL amount of chickens?

Country bum, well every now and then someone should point out to them that manners are nice to have.

I have an E Ger. /Czech girl and a number of Eand W working lined dogs. And we had a pitbull dumped here in December. We have a lot in common.

Like my czech girl I'm just a tad sharper than some nicer folks.

A NORMAL number of chickens of course varies according to need <grin>
Counting is pointless I have the number of chickens and turkeys and hatching eggs I NEED. It's a solution I came to after being here and realizing I am normal, having the chickens I need is normal. And numbers are soooo over-rated.

Laura who is cuddling the pitbull refugee wants to know if you want another, eight dogs are a tad unnormal.

Well, I am in the process of looking for another female Shepherd, but she will be for SAR and breeding. I am also looking for a home for the pitbullX after I have him nuetered. But with hubby it has to be within his reasonable price. My girl is on her last litter and then she will be spayed - 5 litters is enough for her - even though she seems happiest when she has her puppies.

Good picture Michigan. Those pictures speak 1000 words.

http://www.vomhausweinbrand.com/ a good breeder depending on what you're looking for.

www.carmspack.com - Carmen Duggan's dogs are awesome and she has reasonable prices.

www.adlerstein.com awesome dogs.

workinggermanshepherd.com - Molly Eichenluft has dogs I'd kill for.

some of the dogs they've had have seriously rocked but I haven't checked their pricing in a decade.

Carmen and Molly would be my own first picks, I've loved and known too many good dogs from both.

So if that helps Yay and whether it does or not, good luck in the search. I have a friend in Upstate NY SAR and one in the Eastern Sierras.
