Could be a hen saddle (to protect feathers from roosters)? Just my guess

It's a saddle (or apron, whichever you want to call it.) and I have them on all four EE's to protect them from hen-pecking.

Gumiho-- I love goats (especially fainters, nigerian dwarfs, and angora crosses- too cute!)! Would love to have some of my own when I have enough land and a barn. I'm moving in a few years though
