My favorite housing for quail is the omlet modern chicken coop eglu go, completely predator proof and not up high. https://www.omlet.us/shop/chicken_keeping/ (scroll a bit to find the omlet modern chicken coop eglu go) and there are rain/snow/sun/wind accessories as well. but if you want something cheaper separate between the two spots for this rabbit hutch, https://www.amazon.com/Merax-Rabbit...8268622&sprefix=Trixie+rabbit,aps,229&sr=8-19 picture next post
I really like the eglu, I saw it in person at a 4-h fair. However, it’s very pricey for what you’re getting, and the shape and structure will make it difficult to get all the eggs and move things around. You can get the grabber things to help, but you’ll be kneeling there halfway inside the pen to get at eggs and hides. If I were to get an omlet product, I would go for the larger walk in style, with the eglu inside, or connected on the side. I spoke with the reps at length and I crawled around inside their display setups, and the rabbit style one with the short ground pen was just too difficult for everyday Quail use.

Here are some photos of my pens, my favorite is the folding table pen, the prefab is a real piece of junk, and I spent $70+ strengthening it with extra hardware. The short pvc and hardware cloth pen sags pretty bad in the middle from the freak 3 feet of snow this winter, even though I went out every couple hours to shovel it off.

I like the Whimzees turned feeder!! I might need to try that! Genius 😁

Here’s mine, it’s small but I live in a suburban neighborhood :)

I built this "quaiviary" off the side of my chicken barn. It is about 4wx8Lx7high. I am keeping 20 quail in their right now, 3 boys and the rest girls. I am using deep beeing method in their and so far it is working out great. I added some evergreen boughs and other forest debris for them to explore and hide around. I am getting LOTS OF EGGS.

I'm converting this shed into an aviary. 160 sq ft inside, 132 sq ft outside, and yes that's an a/c unit. :)

The main task is putting up 1/4" hardware cloth everywhere, for snake and rodent protection, and some form of double entryway to prevent escapes when I visit. (And finding new storage space for the gear and junk I have stashed in there now.)

At 1 sq ft per quail, that's 292 birds max? I was thinking 100-150 if/when my egg business gets going.
