I feel horrible about this. I have had two ducklings for almost three weeks this coming Saturday. I new they would grow to a large size.
But my parents did not like the situation coming up
My mother not tolerating the noise they made
And my father who has yet to build a pen outside for them.
They suggested I give them back or give them to the pet store in which we know the owner very well.
Today we sent them away.
I am in tears.
Now that I am home. Torn.
Because they had imprinted on me. And starting a few days back had begun to follow me.
Thought I doubt I will be Able to get them back in one day. Nor would my parents take me back to get them
I thought I was doing good. Because I didn't have a proper home to provide them when they were full grown.

I live in the city and there was no where to take them.
Nor a place that would it is now illegal to have puppies kittens chicks or any breeding animal sold in the city.

Anyway. I am torn at the heart. Will they be okay emotionally? Will they be depressed?
I'd hate myself if they were.
Was it to soon. For them to go? To late.

I pray they end up some where safe.
Of course I know I cam t control that anymore but they
Are still at three weeks babies.

Can anyone answer these questions or know by experince how to move on.

Sorry for your loss, but this is a best case scenario for them, I think; they were rapidly going to outgrow your ability to look after them.

If you live with people who don't like them, that will only create more conflict. If they imprinted on you, they can end up making a lot of noise every time you walk away and that can make even more conflict and upset neighbors.

If your dad didn't want to build them a pen, and your mum couldn't stand the noise, you're not in a good situation to look after them. This way, they will learn to be independent. They won't like it at first but this time had to come sooner or later anyway, no baby likes becoming independent and even in the wild the parents often have to force them to grow up and get a life of their own. Luckily at this age they are still very cute and can attract new owners easily.

If you want to keep animals you need the place to keep them, and the knowledge to look after them. If you have your heart set on keeping animals, you now have a good time to learn how and prepare for a good future for them. You could probably have built your own cage and run if you had looked into it. Many people never bother to learn because they think they can't, they think building a cage is hard, but most of us are capable even if we've never learned a thing about building.

There's heaps of info on the internet about everything to do with duckkeeping. If you really want to keep animals, you need a place of your own, knowledge, and willingness to do things for yourself; if you rely on others it will only ever leave you unhappy with how they do things. You may be too young now, for all I know, but it's a good lesson to get yourself into independence before having dependents. Their lives depend on you. If you're not independent, their lives are at risk and it's much harder for you to give them everything they need.

Best wishes. Hopefully in future you will have a better experience.

That's a shame i am sorry. That said, without the support this was the best in the long run, they will be okay. Perhaps, continue to learn on ducks and their care in future you maybe in a position to own some again.

Animals require massive amounts of work and dedication, and sadly sometimes choices that emotionally leave us torn and drained. Best of luck and think of the future.

A pet store, they are very dedicated to their animals. They seel baby chicks there and my parents myself included are very close to the two owners.
Who offered to take them
I only had two places to take them where I got them or this place by chance.
However where we got them from the owner didn't even know their breed nor ask any questions on intentions or care.
So I trust these owners jules and willy.
To find them a home.
