I posted on here back in October while I was hatching chickens for the first time in my classroom. Well this time we decided to do peking ducks. I put them in the incubator March 21 and went into lockdown April 15. They were supposed to hatch yesterday. This morning I have one egg thats pipped, three that are shaking alot and lots of chirping. But today is day 29....is something wrong with my ducks? Does it take about the same amount of time for a duck to come out of the shell as it does a chicken?
I'm freaking out...and so are the boys in my class!!!
I need someone to tell me its gonna be ok

Thanks

I just read that Pekin ducks take 28 days to hatch, so it seems like the timing is right! Good luck, and don't open that incy! You don't want to lose that high humidity level.....

Hang in there!

I've never incubated, but if their moving, and peeping, seems to me that's a good sign. be patient. I'm sure they'll be here soon.
