PLEASE Sour crop help!!!!!!

Also, have you noticed any other symptoms? Have you tried deworming her?
We are going to try deworming her but haven’t seen any signs of worms, but that also doesn’t mean a thing. I’ve got pictures of her poop, her diet is Bar Ale Non-GMO 16% protein, soy and corn free layer crumble. No new symptoms which I guess is good news,

From the pictures, her crop looks very large, and she could possibly have a pendulous crop. That is hard to treat since the crop wall is stretched out and has lost elasticity. A crop bra can be applied to keep her from overeating. I’m not sure that crop surgery should be done at home without a vet, or if it would be affective with a pendulous crop. @azygous is the real expert on crop problems. I think the dosage for Monistat is 1/2 inch orally given twice a day. Here is her article to reread:

Thank you so very much!!! I will read the article for sure! I kinda wondered if it was a pendulous crop since it was always so very stretched out even when she was getting a bit better. We’ve noticed she does seem to get better on the monistat treatment but just not fully recovered

I'm so glad Ducky is doing great! I did want to add a little of my own two cents here.

I have a Crevecoeur named Hegla who gets a crop problem regularly. It's turned into an every couple month sort of thing. The crop gets very pendulous because of it and fills with a ton of fluid. She'll lose weight since she's not eating much and stands around not feeling well.

I've finally attributed this to some kind of clog. Because it just so happens that she gets like this when I change out the straw bedding. I have good reason to believe she's eating fresh straw. As you state, none of the treatments for sour crop help. I've also noticed that she doesn't like to eat grit, though she will eat a lot of dirt during this time.

I usually use a crop bra, feed her very light easily digestible foods (mostly egg), but I've also started giving her a digestive enzyme that can break down cellulose along with some papaya (seeds and skin removed) and I've gotten good results (though it'll still take her a couple weeks if I don't use the bra on her just for everything to drain). It's Spring Valley digestive digestive enzymes with probiotics. Not sure if it's the best to be giving chickens, but I found someone who was using it and I haven't had any issues thus far. There might be better products out there, something cleaner. I'm not sure. But desperation called when nothing was helping Leslie!

Not sure if it's of any help to you, but just wanted to share my experience and maybe it'll do some good somewhere! So happy for Ducky! :love

Got a bra on her and Ducky is doing great! She’s even started laying wonky eggs!!
So glad she's doing better! The crop bra should help keep the crop moving as best as it can. However, wonky eggs is a sign of a problem in the reproductive tract which can, in turn, cause crop problems. So keep a close eye on her general health and make sure she is getting plenty of calcium.
