First time trying pictures. First day for my girls in their big new house.
They are 5-1/2 weeks.
I have 3 black sex-links.
2, I think production reds? girls?
And my favorite, sweetest and funniest, Pierogi. Please tell me she's a she ... she is the biggest and stands the tallest though.
The last pic they were 1 week.

Thanks!

But, but, doesn't mine look just like your girl ???
No! I so don't want her to be a roo.
I am out in the country so if it is I can keep (sob)him but really wanted all girls.

Hmm, how old does a roo have to be to fertilize?
I imagine by the time the others are laying?
If you collect fertilized eggs right away they are fine to eat right?

I am brand new with chickens.
Boy I have a lot to learn ...

I don't have any idea but I just wanted to say I LOVE that hair-do! LOL

It's like the equivalent of a rebellious teenager in the punk-rock phase! I can picture it with a nose ring too ROTFLOL

When his comb and wattles are bright red (varies by breed), fertile eggs are safe/fine to eat.

Bwhaaa! Too funny! She, I refuse to say he yet, is really quite the character. In fact, I had no idea chicks could have such personality.
I am thrilled with my new obsession.

At 5-1/2 weeks I see no comb at all. Maybe I just don't know what I am looking at?
Pierogi's tail is always straight up, although not in these pics, and she has no 'saddle feathers'?
So, she's a girl right
