Hello. I'm new to BYC site. My family has been raising chickens for 2 yrs. We bought 7 chicks from a farmer. We have narrowed it down to who's who except for 2 Barred Rocks. They are 17 weeks old. "Peeps" has a very big red comb and waddle and no tail or sign of spurs. The other Barred rock "Henny" has thick legs no spurs a small tail and small red comb and waddles. She, hopefully a she, is the last of the pecking order. I'm afraid the farmer sold us all roosters. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. I have uploaded the pics. Email me if you know.

Wyandottes are supposed to have rosecombs, according to the standards.

Did you hatch this chick or did you get it from a feed store/hatchery as a pullet or as a straight run?

Thank you Potterwatch. I had a hunch we had all roosters so I bought 2 SLW hens and 2 GLW on 8/24/09 from My Pet Chicken. That's what we got picking them ourselves from a chicken farmer. We have 7 roos and 5 hens. There will be too much testosterone in the coop soon

Both boys, the roo's are lighter than the hens. That's how you can tell~

I have one light (she) one Dark (she) both are laying eggs so not sure about color being a sign hers a pic of my 2 Barred rocks
