Please tell me these all look like hens!

The dark chick standing on top of the brooder plate could be a future rooster as well as the light color chick with red wings. We purchased all females from Rural King and ended up with 4 Buff Orpington and 2 Speckled Sussex cockerels. We are okay with it. Rural King typically has females only for these breeds. The error is in the hatchery. It is not 100% when sexing chicks at one day old unless they are a sexed-linked breed. I have seen at TSC that sell female only and straight run. If they do not label properly it is a problem. For us the issue was more so they had the incorrect chicks labeled as BO on our first purchase. What we ended up with is Isa Browns instead. They corrected it by giving us 10 BO and as I said not all females .

One of my Bared Rock girls popped out wattles and a large comb overnight. I guess I have a full size rooster now.

I've never had a problem finding homes for extra boys so I don't worry about it. But it's a bummer that I don't have a pair of BR girls.
