Please tell me they are still o.k! Temp & Humid issues. (pic ) Update

I am on day ten of my second attempt ever at incubating. As of last night all nine are active. I woke up at 5:15 this morning and temp was at 102 (still air). I went back to bed and got up at 9:00 ( I'm on vacation right now), My temp was up to 103. Did I cook them? Also if I add any water to the reservoirs my humidity will sit at 58% - 61%. Is this to high? The reservoirs went dry yesterday and I am at 39% right now I am worried about them not losing enough weight/water before they hatch .My thermometer/hygrometer is on it's back at the exact same height as my eggs. O.k looking at the humidity now that I opened it to turn, I see it is only in the 20's. Let it run dry for a day or two or add water? Assuming of course I didn't cook them.

The temp spike you had was fine I had a new to me bator go nuts and it spiked to 110* I still had a bunch of babies hatch then It spiked again on a differant batch of eggs to 124*

I got 24 chicks out of 100 eggs

I called them the super chicks. I then replaced all the important parts in the bator and it worked prefect after that

I thougth i cooked my eggs when the tem got to 103 but they were fine and all of them hatched and are alive and well to this day!!! But i had them in a cardbord box with a desk lamp on them and was using a human thermometer

What in the world is going on? I have backed the the temp dial down over a 1/4 of an inch and my temp still keeps climbing. I just found it 104. It has been holding really steady for days and nobody has touched it! Why are my temps climbing. Ambient temp in the house has not changed either.

id wait and candle on day 14. try to keep the bator at 99*1/2- 100. humidity 50-60% that is what my still air incubator instructions say. turn every 4 hours. 6x a day.give the temp control time to adjust like maybe try waiting 30 minutes after you turn it up or down. hope everything is fine with your hatch...it still could be.

What kind of incubator is it ??

Don't worry. In a still air incubator the temp should be 101 at the top of the eggs. I try to keep my humidity around 35% during incubation. The eggs need to loose a certain amount of moisture. 39% is ok. I would bump the humidity up to around 75% at lockdown on day 18. I had a spike up to 115 after a power outage. I still had a good hatch. Good luck and have fun...

have you changed out your thermometer? I always use several in my incubator because they can go bad or read incorrectly
If all 3 of mine read with in 1 degree of each other then I trust the temps
