Please tell me this is a Buff Orpington hen!

Born about April 5th, so roughly 5 and 1/2 months. This morning "she" started making funny crowing-like noises. I really don't want to have to get rid of another rooster but the neighbors give me no choice if that's what it is.

It's now 2 weeks and she's still crowing every morning for about 5 minutes after she gets up. Is this normal?

Her comb and wattles are not much bigger than shown in the photo.

I've had to install a coop door with a timer to let them out a bit later so that she doesn't crow too early and get my neighbours all riled up, but it has me worried.

Females can crow… do you have any video of her doing it? As uncommon as it is to have a crowing female I can’t see this being a cockerel.

All signs say pullet.. please post video or sound clip of what you're hearing.

Laying hens can get quite "preachy" when they start to approach lay.

Crowing is usually quite pathetic when it first starts.
