I have a 2 month old chick. Two weeks ago it was stuck in a fence. Ever since then, it's been so weak. If a chick bumped it, it fell over and laid there. I've had it in its own pen with a smaller chick now for around a week and a half. Been giving it electrolytes and vitamins in its water. It eats and drinks good. Walks around. I've checked for mites and lice, none. Poop is normal. What can I do? Im constantly monitoring my birds so they stay healthy and happy. Please help. I hate seeing this animal so weak.

Can you get video of her?
Upload video to youtube and provide a link.

She may have suffered some internal injuries when struggling to free herself. Did you notice any bruising (green tinged skin), swelling, air under the skin or abrasions?

I'd continue to encourage to eat her chick starter. You can give a little egg, fish or meat to help boost protein. Poultry vitamins like Poultry Cell may be of benefit as well.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, I know how stressful it can be 🙁

Do you know how long it was stuck? What do you feed it? Was there any damage that you could see from struggling? Scrambled eggs and even yolk with a syringe is a good boost.

I hope your chick pulls through :hugs

I posted at the exact same time I saw your reply, and I’m proud to say I’ve been paying attention 🕵️‍♀️😆

I go outside every couple hours so it was within that time frame. No visible injuries was seen. I will have to try the eggs. It acts completely normal except it's really weak.
