Please tell my idiot owner what kind of rooster I am

I would get some welsummers, EE (since they come in so many different colors) they also have the speckled sussex or something speckled. I think I would just get a nice mix and see what you get then pick the prettiest ones and breed those.

I say he's probably not Phoenix as his body shape is different and he has red earlobes. If he is though, he would be a BBred not golden(the type the others posted.) and he would have to be mixed with something that has a different body shape, mille fleur/spangled/mottled(whatever is on his chest) and red earlobes. The only thing that indicates Phoenix is his leg coloring, his long saddles(which I'll add, are longer than my phoenix's

) and his straight comb(but that not really as a lot of breeds have straight combs).

So it's possible I just don't think it's likely. Whatever he is though, he is AMAZING. I like his neck feathers and the coloring. He is honestly one of the most gorgeous roos I've ever seen.

Who cares what he is. He's the most gorgeous rooster I have ever seen. I have never hatched eggs before but I sure would with him in the mix. His colors are absolutely stunning. Right, dripping with gold. You are one lucky chicken owner.

Hi, I'm new here. I saw your rooster where a friend posted a mesage on facebook. He looks like the painting of a rooster on a deck of cards my sis and I have had since childhood! We both loved that painting and when I researched it recently, I finally found what I think is the breed.

So I think your rooster is the same: an Ameraucana Rooster.

Since I am a new member, I guess I cannot list a URL so I will say to google "ameraucanas hidden falls farm" and click on the top link, and you will see a photo that looks like your rooster.

I went to the Ameraucanas Hidden Falls Farm and while the saddle feathers are very similar, as well as other featherings, your rooster has a single comb, not a pea comb. Plus that lovely Mille Fleur chest. And no beard.

He is just gorgeous as I and many others have already said. You have a prize there, with that boy!
