Colorado
with extreme heats all over the northern hemisphere from the UK to the US its important to keep in mind were raising waterfowl from Geese to ducks. the pads on there feet can not handle the burn.
That being said I live in Colorado on a dry sandy hill the pasture is gone very early and I spend most of the year sprouting for them in the summer. But wether you have grass or not. Take off your shoes and walk in there pasture if it is uncomfortable to you it is AWFUL to them. Sometimes damaging.
I bought extra pans for water this year and they just all try to sit in them trying to stay cool. Then I turn on the sprinkler I set up for them and it is no longer painful to get to the food. So I know we all want to conserve water put water your geese daily when it is this bad

So true! I recommend setting up a misting sprinkler in shady area on a timer that turns on during worst heat of the day, so even if you are not home, you do not have to worry about them overheating.
Thank you. You and I probably deal with this every summer. You more than me! But on my property the last few years have been brutal. There pasture dries out by end of June and I sprout for them the reast of the year. But when my flip flop melted on the sand a few days ago and watched what was happening to the reast of the northern hem. well thought it was time to mention this forward.
