plotting rescue

Quote:
The chicks you saved today are doing great, so now will you follow thru and actually make their rescue mean something? Will you right a letter of complaint to the manager and corporate headquarters of TSC? Will you make an effort to get the TSC employees educated or offer to help with problem chicks? Someone here said the TSC gives them injured chicks rather than doing away with them. YEAH! The two TSC and Coastal managers I approached said it was against corporate policy. They wouldn't even sell them to me at a discount. I wrote letters of complaint and stopped shopping at the one who did not change their treatment of chicks.

If you do not make more effort than just giving them your money then your gesture is hollow and completely self serving. You made yourself feel better while making almost no difference.

If anyone sees a bad situation like that, buy the chicks if you want, but COMPLAIN every where you can. Directly to the manager, with their corporate headquarters, call the Humane society if it's bad enough. Get your friends to do the same things. CHANGE THE SITUATION!

If this makes you feel bad, well, then, maybe you need to stop and see what you can do to really help.

Well said.

I don't have any idea why, but we have another chick on it's way out..... They are on medicated feed, but have a white light. The red bulb I have is 250w so it is too hot to use unless I raise it wayyyy up, and the picking seems to mostly have stopped. I am going to do some research on here, but I really want to find out why we are losing some of them. And it happens really suddenly with pretty much no symptoms????? Can someone please help and tell me what you think is going on?????
