Cockerel Never a good reason to keep a bad roo. They can do a lot of damage to people, kids, chickens. If you use him for breeding, you could end up with a lot of nasty chickens.

Hate to say it, but you may want to take some more pics of that barred bird in the foreground of the first pic and post them. that comb has some color on it.

It's a barred Plymouth Rock, they have red Combs. We got them from a place that 99% guarantees the correct sex which is why we are questioning the Easter egger.
From looking at photos it will be harder to tell if the barred Plymouth Rock is male or female until there are a bit older.
I will post more photos of all of them at 7 weeks. I appreciate everyone's help.

Actually, Barred rocks are much easier to sex from a very young age. BR cockerels have two copies of the barring gene, making them appear over all lighter. The pullets have only one copy of the gene, making them appear overall darker.
Yes, BRs have red combs and faces, my BR hen does... but just like any other breed, the females don't get red until point of lay.
