Pls help with ducklin emergency

Sorry if I gave wrong info about moving to the brooder I was going by my experience with the ducklings that hatched here under my hens I removed them after hatch an brought them inside an put them in the brooder they rested for that day and did fine. I sure hope your little one is okay today.

Not wrong info, either is probably fine, as long as brooder temp is carefully regulated. :)

How’s he doing today?

Not sure whether you moved him out of the incubator or not, but while they aren’t able to move on their own, I like to keep them in the bator, because of the steady temp. The brooder can be up and down and if they can’t move around, they may get too hot or too cool.
We left him in the incubator all night last night as he still wasn’t on his feet and my 60ye old mom stayed up watching him bless her, she finally fell asleep and when she woke he was up on his feet peeping at her, so she gave him some water and within an hour he was running around, he’s very alert and active so we’re going to try him in the brooder with a teddy tonight but keep an eye on him, he’s doing really well I thought he wasn’t going to make it this far

Update*
Donald as my son has called him is now a happy little duckling running around bossing all his humans about, his belly is now completely healed and causes no bother he now has 5 other ducklings who hatched from a different batch of eggs to play with, I do believe the eggs Donald came from were either from a dirty place or they were bad as only he made it out and he had complications the other batch I had all made it and all hatched within 48hrs with no problems at all, the best advice i heard on here was to leave them alone during hatching that would be my advice to anyone hatching ducks be patient they are worth the wait, thanks all again for the advice
