I recently built a chicken plucker out of a blue 55 gallon drum with 4" plucking fingers. It's intended for Cornish meat birds, turkeys and geese. It will pluck a bird in under 15 seconds. I have started gathering parts to build a second smaller one using a blue 15 gallon drum. With 2 .5" plucking fingers. Was wondering if anyone has tried a bigger plucker on quail size birds with success. Please looking for "yes I have and it worked or yes I have and it didn't work". For a little back ground i have been plucking and skinning birds for about 50 years.
