Plum Trees Not Blooming?

I think you may be right... It was 2 year old stock, planted last year so it's 3yo now. I'm guessing it needs time to develop a good root system as well.

One is a french petite gage and the other a plum.

The peach tree and nectarines I planted last year bloomed great and have fruit on them. Nice stuff there...

Oh well.. Maybe next year.

I have three mature Plum trees, all three bloomed out beautiful this year only to get killed by late frost.

2 year old saplings need to establish a root system in order to bloom properly.
check for bugs and disease also it may be holding the roots back a little.
I also like using the Jobes Fruit Tree spikes, gives them a nice boost.

If you've never been here for information it's well worth it. Especially if you're a newbie canner.. Else it can be a little like reading a childrens book.
