Plymoth verses barred rock

I have had more pecks from girls actually.
I've stuck mainly to Orp cockerels so far and all have been angelic. But I've heard good things about BR.

Update us when he floofs up and feathers!

I love mix roosters. They seem like my better ones.

I miss my ee/buff orpington mix and my have no earthly clue roo.

I can't wait to see what this ones is gonna turn out looking like. I have 2 barred rock mixes already (weeded out the possible roosters already.)

Ok. What comb type does it have?
Does the comb area look flat? Or does it have a single comb?

Once you feel comfortable taking pics of the little cheeper, that would help.

Plymouth Barred Rocks is the full name, but people call them Barred Rocks.
Rocks come in many colors.
Dominiques look like BR, but they have rose combs.
The original Dominique was single combed, the rose comb variety is a newer variety, that's most common.

The single combed variety of Dominique was used in the creation of Barred Plymouth Rocks.
