Plymoth verses barred rock

okay I feel stupid for asking this, but what is the difference? I thought they were the same. Or Dominique chickens... sorry I have a brown egg that just hatched out of a mixture that looks like what I know of as a barred rock. Its still wet so will post a pic when it dries

There isn't a difference.
Barred Rocks/ Plymouth Rocks have yellow feet.
Cuckoo Marans have white feet.
Dominiques have rose combs.

Plymouth Barred Rocks is the full name, but people call them Barred Rocks.
Rocks come in many colors.
Dominiques look like BR, but they have rose combs.

Yes, probably.

Dominique cockerels (if it's pure) will be light in colour, as they get only one barring gene. Pullets will be darker.
Spot should work too.
