It's strange how the barred roosters and hens look similiar while the silver ppr's male and female are very different looking.

anyone else??? opinions please!!!!!

I don't know what opinions you want. I am certainly no expert, but I can see that what you have there are your standard hatchery birds.

they are different color varieties.

I know that. LOL But I still wouldn't expect a huge difference between them. The male sppr look nothing like the girls. But the barred rocks do. I know that's how it is, it's just odd. Nothing wrong with it.. just strange they differ between from color variety so much in THAT respect.

What you have is the common hatchery barred rocks. These are the kind of birds I got from my uncle when I was a little boy. They lay more eggs than Standard Barred Plymouth Rocks that you have seen posted on this thread. Thats what they are breed for I think the males would would be very popular with tie flyers.

The Silverh Pencilled is a very rare breed. We hope in the next year to have about five people breeding them.

I have a fellow who wants to hear from you Blue Plymouth Rocks if you have some eggs a dozen or more you could sell him this spring would you send me a personel message with your address and phone number. I will then send it to him by snail mail as he is not a computer person.
