Body type makes a rock a rock. White barred rocks would not show any barring and I am sure there are lots of them floating around.

The birds were suppose to be white leghorns but we were sent the Plymouth rocks. They were ordered from a guy in Florida via eBay. I don't think they are hatchery birds. I was told he gets like $20 a pop but who knows.Are the hatchery birds? I know some white rocks are dominate white and will hide other colors like barring. My understanding the best whites are recessive white and silver based.

You are correct, blacks are not recognized in LF Plymouth Rocks, however, the blacks are recognized in the bantam size. I am in the process of developing a line of LF blacks as you know....not that the APA will recognize themBlack is not a recognized color in Rocks, Partridge and Silver Penciled are 2 others that come to mind.
