Partridge Rocks and I have not figured out how to show the beautiful penciling they have.....triple laced and the black is green and the brown is mahogany if my Silver Penciled ones grow up to look like this in black and white.....I tried these for looks and boy are they lookers as they get older they look better and if they improve with molts I just might try and show some if I get the bodies to go with the color. I'm worried that they might be a bit light on the SOP weight I haven't gotten that scale but I will weigh them @ 6 months and then at a year...they have matured quite a bit in the last 3 weeks so maybe I was just impatient

Nice pictures. Do you have any side profile shots of the male? For the penciling on the female try it when it's darker out, zoom in, and some times the flash will then be able to pick up the nice penciling. The flash may make the overall color appear lighter than it actually is, but at least you can see the penciling.

all I have are these and this is the 2nd best roo right now but the other one is shy and just hides or gets up on the roost when I'm trying to take pics if I don't have the camera he comes out pretty funny he has better bone and more width underneath looking at them over the top they are almost the same.

Yeah any barred bird is called Dommer, or Dommer Necker around here to.

Hey guys, my Barred Rock flock is available if anyone is interested. I'd like them to go to someone who will use them for breeding. We decided to keep quail and partridge to use with the bird-dogs. .. but for the chickens, it means someone must go. We are keeping Ameraucana, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and bantam Cochins. The others are in the process of being relocated.
