She actually wanted to be held and flew up to my hand a few seconds after this was taken. She's a sweeeeeeeeet girl.

I'll keep tabs on the two girls I sold to see how their penciling comes in. It will be a lesson either way it goes. They went to an egg laying pretty mixed breed flock, ie: a very good home for a chicken.

I found pictures of the chicks I culled (sold to a laying home). 2 months old at the time. It will be interesting to see how the feather pattern matures.

Hmmm not sure I would have let go those you sold due to pattern right now. In my PR I have had a few with straight bars and correct feathering and other pattern problems. Now after big moults I am seeing many come out normal and correct. I have 3 right now moulting bad one that I was thinking of culling due to thinkness of penciling but what is growing is is not as thick and looks correct. It is hard to wait on these patterns to show full potenial. This is now over a year and a few months as many have not gone thru full moult yet. We had alot of small moults but nothing like now with these 3.
Then again our temps are way high here now too.

Here is Alice, one of my blue Rocks.
