Thanks, Scott - I have a cage I can pop them into if I need to end up bringing them inside. She has been an absolutely devoted broody, rarely getting up at all. I can tell she's been turning them by the re-arrangement of blue and brown eggs. Here's hoping that's a sign to indicate she'll be a good Mama. I'll post pics of the Rocks when they hatch. I'd love some of those Columbia Rocks next! I will have a Rock collection!!
Hi everyone, thought I'd share a few pics of the b/b/b/s rocks that I got from Yard Full o' Rocks(thanks again BTW!) back in the spring. 05/14/10 hatch date, 21/24 hatched, 15 survivors. Roos- 3 Barred, 2 each Blue and Black. Pullets- 4 Blues, 2 each Black and Splash. Everyone has transitioned to the main flock well and i'm looking for the pullets to begin laying soon. The roos are sorting out who's the king, and so far my RIR roo hasn't ruffed them up yet!
biggest black roo
biggest blue roo
the ghost barred( who's been crowing for a week now)

Hey, thanks so much for sharing with us! I love the way that Barred roo is posing for you. Looks like you have some good size on those birds. Scott is a great guy, isn't he!
Are you going to sell any of your barred rock eggs? If so I would love to be placed on your list. I am dying to start a line of beautiful (non hatchery) barred rocks.
