All my white rocks chicks for over twenty years had a blackish slate down color as genes not al but half of them at least. This is the silver white gene and was told in the beginning not to cull them out because of the sun and living so far down here in the south. I never culled these chicks. I always made sure they where in my breeding pens each year. Most important thing to breed for is fast feathering early developemnt gene. Watch the chicks as the mature and try to breed and keep the ones that develope, lay first over the slower ones. This will be the best thing you can worry about in my view. Its so easy to breed and raise a white bird no color issues to worry about. bob

The roos chase my son so I think the 5 will be going up for sale. 2 roosters and 3 hens. I'm debating that. I like these but don't want to seperate the flock since there's so few and they're so hard to find.

Hold on right now. Where in the world did you get these males from?????????????????????????????????????????????????

Dont take them to a sale barn or get rid of them because they chased your son right now we need to find homes for them.

Do you relize what you have there in Silver Penciled Rocks?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Befor you get rid of these males lets try to find someone in your region or area that may want them for breeders. They have very good color and type for this color pattern one of the best conditioned Large Fowl Silver Pencilled Rocks I have seen.

Look forward to your reply and whose blood line they belong to. Bob Blosl Sec Rock Club
