Plymouth Rock thread!

Love seeing all your pretty birds! I didn't realize there are so many different colours of Plymouth Rocks!

Pictures taken today: Really windy

Young cockerels: Will need to decide which to keep soon, but they are so gangly it is hard to pick either one.

Young cockerel doing the mating dance beside pullet . . . will be separating the roos and the pullets soon.

Those silver pencileds are gorgeous. I wonder why that color patterns isnt in any other breed? Its so beautiful.

Hi all

Cheryl, your spprs are truly beautiful too.

I was really lucky to have picked this breed when I decided to get a few chickens last summer (2010). They are so people-friendly and beautiful. I wish there were more breeders in my area.

And halo, I think Dark Brahmas have very similar feathering; however the spprs don't have feathers on the legs and feet.

yes dark brahmas and partridge & silver penciled Wyandotte ( I don't believe they exist here (but could be wrong!-not a wyandotte expert) have the same.

In person it is really striking

Cheyl they look great. Mine partridges are just hitting 5 months on the oldest hatch. So I have bit to go before any lay.
