I personally love the reactions updates! :clap
Thank you @MattW !

On a side note, I was on another forum today for another hobby of mine and they didn't have ANY reactions. NONE. Grateful for the ability to use excessive reactions, emojis, and attachments here on BYC!

Hey awesome site admin people!

I think that it might be helpful to include a 'confused', 'please clarify', or something similar type react for posts, so that it isn't necessary to make a one word reply like 'huh?' or 'what?'. Sometimes it's as simple as a typo or need to reword that makes something hard or impossible to understand, and I think such a react would draw the author's attention so that they could fix things or expound on what they were trying to say. I know it would help people like me, who live in an almost perpetual state of confusion.

I searched to see if this had already been suggested and I didn't find anything, so I apologize if I missed it.

Thanks and carry on with your fantastic selves. ♥️

That's an interesting idea. We've thought about something similar before, but decided that the original poster (OP) may not understand what people are "confused" about, so we'd rather request our members actually reply to the post that is confusing or needs more information with something like,

"That's an interesting situation, but I'm not sure I understand what you meant by xyz abc. Could you provide more details and clarification?"

That is a good point. But not only would OP likely not know what people were confused about - but if someone has all their reactions off so they can miss less notifications (like me) then they may miss the reaction and not be able to clarify - maybe leaving people confused and not able to get the good advice from the post because they didn’t understand it.

I wasn't even aware that that was a thing, lol. Makes sense that my suggestion wouldn't be all that useful then. I just catch myself a lot of times feeling the desire to reply 'huh?' 'what?' or something similar which I feel are kind of a waste of a post...and I don't always know how to figure out what exactly is throwing me off, if that makes any sense at all. Suppose it's just a limit of online communication.

I think a “disagree” would make more sense. It really is not helpful or clear what people mean when your post is reacted to with a sad or angry instead.

Honestly that might prevent a fair amount of arguments, as it seems sometimes people reply simply because they don't agree with the main point of a thread and things can get derailed quickly.
