Plz help with gender of my 8 week old EE

Suspecting a cockerel due to pronounced comb and reddening for an 8-week old pullet.

I'm thinking you are right- additional info on the behavioral end I didn't previously mention- Miss Cocoa from the start was the most curious, attentive, hopping up front to check me out and all going on (so cute but red flagged me). She might be a dominant female (hopefully?). At 8 weeks she reacts to (hopping forward up front if any activity very much checking all out, seems needing to know all going on, and if I take a chick to check over Miss Cocoa is immediately curious up to watch, if one of the chicks is squawking Cocoa jumps up to check out, seems aware of all going on and is very attentive to all. I appreciate attentiveness to the rest of the chicks, I'm ok with thought of a rooster if only me, just afraid of rooster aggression for my 3 and 5 year old boys that are also involved with these chickens.

That crossbeak isn't looking good. I had one once and was told it would get worse as it grows. I had to feed that chick multiple times a day because it couldn't peck - it was the same as yours. Eventually I gave it to someone who had the time to care for it as I felt it was still starving. It passed away around 8 months. I hope you have better luck but know that chicken will likely need more care.

Oh no, that is good information to have, thank you for passing it on. Darn-it— Yes her/his beak has definitely gotten worse with growth:(

This is a young cockerel, with that comb color and the rust colored wing bars. I wouldn't want to breed him though, as you wouldn't want that cross beak to pass on to his offspring.

Thank you. The rust coloring on the wings started as early as 5-6 week old. Yes I agree regarding breeding, the crossed beak is concerning :(
