Plz help

Over the last day and a half, my Rhode island red hen about 9 months old now, has had trouble breathing. I have separated her from the rest of the flock. Her vital symptoms are fine, and shes eating/drinking. Not sure what to do. Sounds like a trumpet when she breathes out, and she seems to be sneezing a lot.


Any insight would be greatly appreciated thx.

Hi

Sounds like your girl could have a respiratory infection. Getting her started on some duramycin should help. You will also need to treat your whole flock, even though they may not be showing any symptoms they could and are more than likely carrying it. Generally if one has it they all have it. It may take a few days to get some improvement but don't stop the treatment. Treat for a full 14 days.
