PO really stinks!

Ya know, we all know how noisy baby chicks can be when receiving a shipment & it would be pretty obvious when there isn't any sound coming from a live shipment that something is terribly wrong. I would of opened the box right then & there at the PO to check, then laid them out on the count for everyone to witness! Would surely get someone's attention!

I'm so sorry about the loss and obvious lack of compassion by the PO handlers. I can only imagine what I would feel like if I opened a box of dead chicks...

I'm waiting in anticipation of my Monday delivery of chicks and have talked to the PO a few times. The supervisor there is very worried about my chicks sitting in the warehouse on Sunday and has told me that the hatchery should be sending them Express rather than Priority mail and she wanted a tracking number...of course the hatchery doesn't agree. Luckily the weather has been in the 70's this week out here.

MTtroutwithwings: The problem was that she picked them up with over 100 other chicks. She works at the local feedstore (She's pretty much the manager, I think) so its hard to tell when the rest are peeping. The others made it fine, but hers were in a seperate box under her name.

Its pretty sad. I've never dealt with dead chicks, I dread the day I have to.
