Poisonous critters

Does anyone live in areas where there are poisonous snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, spiders, etc and if so, do your ladies eat them?

I don't now, but I have, and yes, like candy. Fire ants are an exception, and can be dangerous to broody hens and new-hatched chicks

Haven’t caught them eating one but I’m sure they have at some point. They eat anything that moves I can’t see them passing up a spider or scorpion. No idea if it’s bad for them. They do eat a lot of fire ants though.

I’ve seen mine for sure eat recluses. Pretty sure had one eat what looked to be a small copperhead. I can’t verify that one hundred percent because it was gone before I could get a close enough look to confirm.
If it’s small enough that they aren’t intimidated by size it’s gonna have to fight aggressively enough to spook them be fast enough to get away or it’s game over and eaten.
