Polish can't see, haircut?

A chicken sees strait ahead. Trim the feathers from around the eye to the beak. That should do it.

I just trimmed my WCB Polish. If you go up to the search engine ^ and type in Trimming Crests, I had a thread and there are pictures and instructions on how to do it!! They seem much happier when they can see!!!

I went ahead and got the link for ya!

Actually not quite. They being a prey species have their eyes more on the sides of the head so they use a wide range of vision field with a narrower telescopic view. For animals which straight ahead vision is more important, their eyes usually are located forwards- such as humans, owls, etc.. If you look at a chicken trying to get a good look at something strange or up at you, they often turn their head sideways to look at you/it with one eye.

For that reason I'd suggest trimming the whole or most of the feathers around the face.

Thanks for the link Bec, my next question was going to be how short can I cut without hurting her, but that answers that. So, tomorrow night she gets a trim:cd
