Hey folks,
I'm new to chicken genetics and am trying to wrap my head around all the different genes that influence a chicken's colour! I know there are a handful of posts already in regards to breeding buff laced polish and gold laced polish together.

Based on this post: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/buff-laced-polish-roo-x-gold-laced-hen.1541148/, it sounds like the genotype for buff lace is ER/ER, Co/Co, Db/Db, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml, I/I and gold lace is ER/ER, Co/Co, Db/Db, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml, i+/i+. My question is what would the phenotype be of a bird with the genotype ER/ER, Co/Co, Db/Db, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml, I/i+? Are buff laced polish always homozygous dominant for I?

Thanks in advance!

Buff laced aren't always homozygous for I. Being heterozygous could give a dark flecked phenotype, but it might not. Sometimes gold laced Polish are bred into the buff laced to improve ground color (the gold parts.)
