Polish Chickens - Pullet/Cockeral

This is spelled correctly. There are people here who will skewer you if you spell it wa-DD-les ... (ahem)... so watch yourself.

Sometimes slower coming in. But in general this one isn't really maturing as I'd expect it to. Don't know - back to the toss up board, learning more cockerel for me.
Thanks for the heads up about the wattles lol.

I’ll continue to update this one weekly. I didn’t find many weekly progression posts for Polish unless I’m completely missing them.

Although these chickens have hatched - we can't count them yet (🤣🤣)

If spotted early, wattles are a dead giveaway. If none seen, not a DQ for cockerel. This one still has a lot of cockerel indicators.
To me, she has a girl face, girl crest, girl body shape, girl legs.
But time will certainly tell!

@BastyPutt @Party_Chicken
Are those the saddle feathers coming in on them? Another observation is neither have crowed or tried yet from what I’ve heard. My little 6 week old barred rock rooster tried to crow at Tweety (buff) and he did nothing but flare up.

Everything about the Polish is going to mature much slower, crowing included. The buff is 100% a boy 😜

Pullets will also develop saddle feathers early on. Again, making these more difficult to sex. Here is a GL pullet with significant saddle feathers (I really need to get some new pics)

12 weeks tomorrow. They’re growing into their hairdos I think. Tweety is the funniest rooster because he tries to boss his ladies around but they stand back up to him for now. He isn’t as intimidating as he thinks lol

Thinking the white crested is going to be a hen? The hair looks like a little cotton ball bouncing around on her head.
