Polish Crested hens?

    They are 4 weeks old.

    The silver laced one started growing head feathers first (although she is smaller) and she has more of them compared to the golden laced one who has a V-shape comb.





    Better to be hens.

    I don't know anything about that breed, but I have to say that those are some good looking chickens!

    They are so different in size and plumage maturity(did they both hatch at the same time?) so I would say you have one of each. My guess is the silver is a male. They are so cute [​IMG]

    I am going to guess that they are both males. I have an 8 week old gold laced and her crest has been smooth back the entire time it has grown in. I also have two Sultan hens and their crest too was a smooth laid back ball. My understanding is males have a rather messy irregular look.
