I acquired three Polish used at packing peanuts with my order of Bantam pullets. I know, I know! Your thinking "not another what sex is my Polish"
I know they are hard to sex but just for fun, What sex is my 7 week old Polish chicks? I believe the White crested is a cockerel. It has little light red wattles and sort of messy crest. It also is very bossy with all the other chicks but not with my mature birds.
The light grey one I thought was a pullet but when outside with my mature birds, it tends to rush them and challenge them trough the fence. Light grey ones has no wattles.
Don't know about the darker grey one. It seems pretty even tempered no wattles.
Whats your guess. Hatchery gave me 7 Polish packing peanuts and I gave away 4 but kept these three knuckleheads.

I have only had one Polish. From what I read the pullets have nice even rounded crests. The cockerel's crest is not so nice and bouffant as the pullet crests are.
Hi there only just seen your thread. I've had 6 polish girls for 3 years and they are amazing! Thet weren't as young as yours when I got them but your look like they may be girls. Youre right Male head feathers ate usually a lot longer and messier, but they may have to grow a bit yet! Here are my girls.... Alice is all white, Honey is the gold lace and Domino is the white crested

Beautiful girls you have. Well I'm hoping they are pullets. Dont mind if one is a cockerel even though I already have a Bantam Roo. Thank You for replying.

I think you could have yourself 3 pullets there... I’m definitely no expert but did a lot of research on sexing silkies when I had our Silkie chick, and I’ve got Polish on the way hopefully :)
Keep us posted!

Pretty sure this one is a cockerel. It is the only one with wattles and has more spikey feathers on head. I also think I saw a glimpse of iridescent green tail feather. It also wants to fight one of my hens but not my rooster. Weird! Im hoping eventually the cockerel will teach my Bantam roo a lesson since he is much bigger. Tired of getting my ankle and lower leg attacked by my Bantam roo every time I enter the pen.
