I am looking for more color, I already have 2 GLW.Well, then you should go for the GLW or the reds because the other breeds lay tiny eggs.

I think they are looking more for a colorful breed thus why they're not getting a traditional or known laying breed such as a leghornIf those are your only choices I'd go for the Hamburg.
Otherwise I'd get Leghorns in your climate. Nothing beats a Leghorn in laying.
I know there are so many beautiful chicken breeds but where they're getting them they said there are only the 3 above a couple others they already have. But yes leghorns are great chickens and most hatcheries and even feed stores carry them if they want that breed.Leghorns come in many colors other than white. Brown, red, buff and exchequer to name a few.
Anconas and Minorcas are other good Mediterranean breeds to consider.
I also don't have very good luck, with traditional breeds, if I got a Leghorn, she would probably lay a normal rate, but be a mean an slightly unlikable chicken.I think they are looking more for a colorful breed thus why they're not getting a traditional or known laying breed such as a leghorn
Yes i agree my polish are so sweet and docile where as some of my traditional laying hens such as the barred rock and white leghorn are a bit on the more skittish side and don't seem to like me as much.I also don't have very good luck, with traditional breeds, if I got a Leghorn, she would probably lay a normal rate, but be a mean an slightly unlikable chicken.
Of the 3 breeds in my experience the Hamburg is the best layer. So get those, though mine have been skittish. The Polish and other heavily crested breeds we have had have not done well.I also don't have very good luck, with traditional breeds, if I got a Leghorn, she would probably lay a normal rate, but be a mean an slightly unlikable chicken.
