Polish mixed hatch question?

We have did a incubator full barnyard mix chicks. We know we had several polish eggs in there. For you polish hatchers, about how long until you can see the crest feathers? We did the hatch because our favorite polish died unexpectedly so we grabbed a few of her recent eggs and some others and put them in the incubator.

So when will crests show up if we have any?

Hmmm. Well I thought we had some half polish eggs in there. These would only be half polish. Thank young for replying.

Can you provide the color of the possible roosters and the color of your Polish? I have only hatched Polish/Silkie Crosses and they have crests from the Silkie parent as well so that won’t be too helpful. Might be able to determine if these babies are possible polish crosses based on the coloring of the parents.

If the rooster didn't have a crest, then it is possible that you might not see any crests yet.

The rooster of several of them is a blue cochin bantam. He’s adorable. Not sure which rooster the other two are from. Some of of these chicks are from leghorns. Hopefully some at least small crests come up.
