were there supposed to be other pictures?

That is Rooster
100% sure

I can tell because the crest is shaped nothing like a polish frizzled hens supposded to look like.
The feathers are supposed to be sweped over going over the beak. Roosters crests are a bit more flat makeing it look more like a tupay.
And note the longer and thinner looking feathers growing in the crest?

Where did you get him from? very nice little guy

How I would know this is becuase I happened to hatch one that looked just like yours.
Plus I have 2 frizzles

I fit doesn't show, then they do not have the gene.

There is a slight chance that a non-frizzled bird is carrying two copies of the frizzle modifier and it is therefore hiding a frizzle gene, but without other evidence to substantiate that (such as hatching a frizzled chick from two non-frizzled parents), consider it to be extremely unlikely.

As for polish, a messy, Einstein-like look indicates male; a smooth bouffant indicates a female.

Iam here sorry for the delay, he is 100% male the long hair like crest feathers are a dead give away in all crested chickens. The hens will look much more feathery and usually be in a round ball.
Here's our male bantam black

and some of our wc black hens to compare off of.

Also, you can tell by the V comb, looks like Devil horns! Hens will usually have them too, but they are very small and usually hard to see threw the crest

Hope this helped
