This one does have a deceiving hat, but yes - the hackle and tail feathers on this guy tell us he is a cockerel. You will see his forehead feathers beginning to grow straight up - this is how you can usually tell a bit earlier than most.

However, there is nothing to fear here. In our flock, you'd be hard pressed to find any polish rooster that acts anything like a standard rooster. They are the sweetest, most quiet roosters your will ever find. Yes - they certainly will crow, but minimally and not vert loud.

He is absolutely beautiful as well - well cared for and would make a great flock roo if you don't already have one.
