seminolewind the second one from the right is mine. The little one is all but hidden that's the one, hand it over !

Illia that is OK, I actually have my hopes up for some of your Maran eggs. Besides my Polish eggs are due to arrive tomorrow and then both incubators will be humming along. Congratulations on the 100% fertility

Hey are those the one's you got from me?

YES!!!!!!!

I hatched 5, and the silkies have 6 eggs, and 3 have hatched with the silkies. 2 more I've noticed pips. I must have done something right, mine from the bator are big and have big long legs. I think the ones outside are a bit lighter weight.

They are very tame. On my dining room table because DH wants them to like him.

Okay, I got 10 chicks, one? (but it's probably not going to hatch). I think 10/15 is great for shipped Polish eggs. Must be sturdy little things! Sue, they're so cute! And tamest I've had-not one has backed away from me. I love them all!

Here is an update...

Hi! Another question...OK, we decided to get 2 GL chicks in hopes that one might be a female. I took pics, but the camera isn't here so I can't download and post them yet. But did observe one thing. One looks identical to the male "head" on the link that was suggested. The other is questionable. It seems to have some "fluff" at its cheeks, kinda like an ameraucana, or EE. Does this say anything about gender? Will try to post pics on Monday and see what you all can tell me. Until then, any ideas? THANKS!

Fluff at the cheeks just means it is bearded. Polish come in bearded and non-bearded.

The "wart" is a normal part of the Polish nasal area. They're supposed to have cavernous nostrils with a slight rise above them.

Thanks about the bearded thing...there was no mention of that at the feed store. Anyway, they are both very cute! The one definitely looks slicked back, the other one doesn't really seem to have much of a poof at all?! Well, will post pics when the camera is back. Thanks!
