Oh I'm aware of the age thing. . . My absolute favorite Laced hen here had ONE white feather to start, now about 50% of her crest is solid white. I just didn't know it was not infact DQ'd in older birds.

Is this what a Tolbunt polish chick is supposed to look like? This is my first one.

out of 60 yes 60 polish bantam eggs from several BYCers I had 2 hatch

I had a friend incubate them in her sportsmans they were in two different incubators. the sexlinks in the same trays had 100% hatches. I'm kinda bummed right now. the two we ended up with are very cute

Gee, I'm sorry , Muddy, that's cr@ppy. My first 14 hatching eggs of Polish, I had one hatch, and it died. My 2nd batch, out of 16, I got 8, 5 were male. I hear that Polish don't ship well, and this time I got 10 out of 15, which is really good. I know that's not anywhere near what you didn't get. I hope your next batch is better

I'm going to try one more time. I have a dickey incubator now, I love it the trays turning are hypnotic. of the eggs shipped only 6 made it to the hatcher.

Hi! I finally have the camera back and have up loaded the pics of the two new GL chicks our daughter picked out. Any ideas on gender would be great! Thanks. I haven't done the up load thing for a VERY long time, so if the pics aren't there I will try again later. The first two shots are "Sunflower", the one that didn't really seem to have a "floof" and the second two are "Marigold" whom I thought looks like the poster shot for a male Polish. But, as I have said, I am extremely new to Polish. Please let me know what you think. Thanks again!
