I am looking for Splash Polish. I have also heard them called Dalmation. White Body with black splashes. I am looking for chicks or hatching eggs. I have a roo and an ok pullet. My beautiful pullet I wanted to breed disappeared, I believe taken by a fox this winter. I'm not so interested in ones that have the blue crests as much as white.

Anyone have a pic or a recipe? I got some white with black specks by breeding a wcb with a blp, I wonder if I breed another color in, would it come out closer? This is probably what I'll do this summer. White with black specks/gold laced. Fun!

Does the hen next to him have white in her crest?

She's gorgeous in color but looks to have solid white in the crest.

She does have 25 % or more white in the back of her crest as she is 3 yrs old.

just like people

the older they get the more white that shows up in their crest/ hair

all laced polish varieties get this. not sure about buff laced though

It is accepted only in older fowl by the APA & ABA, not young birds, it's a DQ in young polish fowl , so not a biggie for me since she's just about over the hill in polish chicken years.

the white usually shows up in their 2nd yr of age sometimes earlier, but it's not so good in young birds when it comes to breeding
