These will be my first time raising Polish. My incubator has a bunch of them and I sure hope they want to hatch out after 21 days.

A pair? You're not breeding them are you? I mean, if they're both frizzled. . . .

But anyway, congrats!!

I myself had a wonderful day today, FINALLY got myself some ever so hard to obtain Gold Laced Polish hens for my Tolbunt boys. I've got Silver Laced, but have been searching for gold laced for nearly a year now.

This is a crappy cell phone pic I took today, but haven't had a chance to get better ones yet. Hen in front, roo in back. This is just their quarantine cage with cardboard on the bottom so they're not standing on wire. They'll be moved to their coop and run after 30 days.

Yes, they're both frizzled and I realize that gives the offspring a 25% chance of being frazzled, but I've been after these for over 2 years, bought expensive eggs that didn't hatch, etc, so I jumped at these when they came my way. The people who have these are HORRIBLE at sharing. I am planning on outcrossing them with my neighbor's pair of smooth-feathered GL Polish in the future.

Goody good.

And for some fun sharing. . . Here's a photo I, just by great luck, got of my two boys. They just so happened to line up just so I could get this nice "comparison" shot.
