Hi Milliefleur,
Your loud color birds are beatiful ! Just curious as to their size as they are very similar in color ,crests, and confirmation of my 1 yr hatcherery pyncheon bantams-tiny-milliefleur coloration with the roo being about the same color red/white as yours and the hens being a lighter shade of brown milliefleur.......I was thinking my hatchery birds were polish crosses instead of pyncheons......

Just slap a piece of duct tape on top of his head. Eventually it will fall off by itself and you can replace it or not. Ugly but works

My roo is the same way. Nothing I have done has helped. He looks best when I super glue some loose feathers to his head. They last a week or so. If you search for Rooster Toupee you can see how he looked.

Ah. I'm sorry to say though then I'm sure not any of those are purebred. The white legs, huge single comb, and small crests on the females are all giveaways, plus that you got them at a Poultry Sale. No offense meant to your or your birds, just mean to warn you incase you hoped they were. A lot of people go to swaps or sales with "project" birds. They are very pretty though and I'd love to see some progress!

You could either work them towards a true Tolbunt or to a new color, such as Buff Columbian.

Hi, try adding 5% floating catfish fish food to the layer pellets. Sometimes this will help him snap out of it. If he is an older rooster he may be done. Hot weather could do it too because of the stress but bringing up the protein a little should help!

That is a funny thread! Glad to see others have the same issues. I hope when the hens start laying, they will leave him alone.
