Just came from my friends, and came home with a little over 40 polish chicks 1-4 months old !

There are 3 pure silver whites, And the rest are white crested blacks.

Way too many for me,

I'll probably donate some, to the local 4-H group & sell some.
I only need 2 roos & 10 hens.

Thank you! We've been suspecting for sometime now that she might be a he. When we got "it" s/he only had a couple of crest feathers and they were round (the rest had been plucked out by cage mates). Now that the crest is growing in we've become suspicious. Seems all my younglings are roos lately. So sad... I get so attached and then have to get rid of them when they start crowing. I think it's time for me to find a new place to live

Three buff laced Polish in a tree . . . about 4 weeks old now. I have a cream-colored mutt/game hen who went broody so I ordered the eggs for her. She's the best surrogate mom ever. Has taught the babies to roost with her in a tree outside the coop. This pic's a little fuzzy but I think it's still pretty cute.
