I believe you're right. My 3 are real gentle sweethearts. And, of course, Lola, who is the daughter of one of them, but a mix. My husband and I are most partial to Polish, my hubby had some roos that were the best there ever was. Now we have all girls and I've been trying to hatch us a few roos.

I totally agree, I've had tons of different breeds of chickens but.. Polish just stuck out to me so here we are a few years later overrun with Polish xD I better go out and check on them, it's raining pretty bad and I think a moody woman has escaped, which honestly I have know idea how that could have happened I better check the fencing later or the coop door has swung open. I really hope her crest isn't wet, not really in the mood to take out the blowdryer.

Oh and one fast question, my husband is driving to Idaho into some little junk town (no offense intended but it's true the population is extremely low

) so I'm tagging along I guess and to my luck there is a fair going on!! I'm so excited because our fair season down here was over a few months ago. I'm deciding who to bring with us but I know I'm bringing our top GL but I sort of want to bring freebie. Shall I? I don't want to stress her out since we just got her so she's probably still rattled but would it just be to much for her to take?

We have our first polish and she is now 12 weeks. Her head feathers are all over to one side-lopsided. They have not grown all the way in yet. Will she even out?

A lopped crest at any age is not a good sign- unless it was picked and is growing back. You can try to even it out with a little judicious plucking though, and see how it grows in.

Have any pics ???
Ive never had a crest lean to one side like what your describing.
I've had some polish with crest that fell forward/ leaned forward a little but we cull that its not good.
Look at my avatar for a near perfect polish crest

The hen in my avatar is probably 18 months in the pic.
The Roo was like 3 yrs old and original K.T. lines
