Polish roosters from breeders in general are very sweet. My Tolbunt boys, one is extremely baby-like and talkative and social, the other cares more about "the women" than he does people, but he's not aggressive.

Polish roosters from hatcheries, they vary, but I have heard a LOT of stories of them being aggressive.

I have been following this thread for some time but never seem to get around to posting, but will add a couple of comments here. My GL cockerel Cagney was friendly until he'd been alone for a while after his girlfriend Lacey died (very sad for both of us). I gave him a Sumatra hen that also had no mate so they would both have company, and he immediately became protective and aggressive. My other guys are all gentle except one free-ranger that I don't know about. I took him in because no one wanted the scraggly thing; he runs with my barnyard flock and always finds his way back into the coop--maybe he can see well because his crest is so pathetic.

I've never had a problem with my Polish in cold weather, either.

our polish boys are friendly. just keep in mind they can't see you coming sometimes they startle. they don't know if you are people or predator

We got our first "home grown" BL chick last night! I will get some pics after work, but I just wanted to tell you guys. We are so excited!

Well, if you're going to try to breed BCW's my hat's off to you, particularly if you want to wind up with something exhibition quality. There's a lot of work to do there. Those and the tolbunts need people working in their corner who aren't afraid to hatch a lot of chicks to get something worth breeding from. I hope we get to see pictures of your progress in the next few generations.
